Applying Different Print Settings Depending on the Document Type
You can select the print quality that is suitable for the image to print such as photograph.
Configure the settings on the [Image Quality] tab.
On your computer, open a document to print, and then open the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Document Size, Paper Type, Orientation and others.
Basic Procedure for Printing DocumentsIn the [Image Quality] tab, specify the print quality.
Adjust Image Quality/Color:
In [Standard Settings], the machine determines the document type and applies suitable print settings automatically.
In [Advanced Settings], you can adjust the color balance for each element (text/graphic/photo) in the document. You can also adjust the brightness and contrast.
Changing Brightness and Color According to the OriginalResolution: The larger the value, the longer the machine takes to print high quality image.
Print Priority: You can select to prioritize either the print quality or print speed in the PCL 6 printer driver.
After completing the configuration, click [OK] to print.
Configure the settings on the [Print Quality] menu in "Feature Sets" of [Printer Features].
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Document Size, Orientation, Input Tray, and other settings.

Configure the following settings:- Resolution: The larger the value, the longer the machine takes to print high quality image.
Image Smoothing: Prints text and pictures with a smooth outline.
Dithering: Specify the following items according to the document to print.
Automatic: The machine determines the document type automatically and applies a suitable print setting.
Automatic: The machine determines the document type automatically and applies a suitable print setting.
Photographic: Suitable for a photograph or an image containing color gradation.
Text: Suitable for text and charts.
User Setting: Enables the halftone settings when using an application that supports halftone settings.
Reduce Missing Colors and Blurring: Suitable for thin lines that are light in density or text.
After completing the configuration, click [Print] to print.
- The halftone setting on User Setting is enabled only when the machine is equipped with the optional PostScript 3 unit. When using the standard PS3, the halftone effect is equal to the setting of [Automatic].
