When an Error Is Reported in a Report or E-mail

The machine notifies the user when a malfunction or error occurs via a report or e-mail as described below.

Cause

Error report

Communication could not be established normally because of noise on the telephone line or a malfunction occurring on the machine or the fax device at the destination.

Power off report

Documents stored in the memory were deleted because the power distribution to the machine was interrupted for more than one hour as a result of a power outage or a bad electrical contact in the power plug.

Error mail sent from the server

A transmission could not be performed normally in the Internet Fax function.

Error notification e-mail (Error Report)

An e-mail could not be received in the Internet Fax function.

Error report (e-mail)

The machine could not send an error notification e-mail (Error Report) when an e-mail could not be received in the Internet Fax function.
