Specify the type of the telephone line. If you are not certain of the line type, consult your telephone service provider. If this setting is not configured correctly, you can receive faxes but may not be able to send them.

This setting item does not appear in some countries or regions.

Register Fax Information

Own Fax Number

Register the machine information to show on the device and output sheet at the destination.

Country/Region (For Function Settings)

Specify the country in which the machine is used. The country code you specify determines the time and date display format and the default values of the fax transmission-related settings.

G3 FAX Line Connection Check

Setting Items

Description

G3 FAX Line Connection Check

Specify whether to detect if a fax line is connected and display a message on the control panel.

The default setting is [Off], but the setting changes automatically to [On] after you send or receive a fax even once. If the setting changes automatically to [On] and you then change it to [Off], the setting will not change automatically to [On] thereafter.

  • Default: [Off]

Destination Type Priority

Destination Type Priority

Specify the destination type to give priority when the destination of the type specified for transferring is not registered in the Address Book.

  • Paper Output Priority

    Fax destination has the highest priority, followed by e-mail destination and folder destination.

  • Electronic Output Priority

    E-mail destination has the highest priority, followed by folder destination and fax destination.

  • Default: [Electronic Output Priority]
