Connect Copy Settings

Tray Paper Settings

In Connect Copy mode, both the main and sub machines must feed paper that is the same size, type, and orientation. To get the best results, the paper settings should be the same on both machines.

You can use only the paper trays whose paper settings are the same on both the main and sub machines and that are not assigned a custom paper. You cannot use paper trays in Connect Copy mode even if you assign the same custom paper to the main and sub machines.

When using paper in Connect Copy mode, specify the paper size and type manually. For details, see the following section:

Changing Tray Paper Settings

Note

  • When two or more trays hold the desired paper size, the paper tray will be selected according to the [Paper Tray Priority: Copier] settings made on the respective machine. For details, see the following section:

  • Tray/Paper Settings

  • If the sub-machine has a paper tray containing paper of the same size but set in a different orientation, when the current tray runs out of paper, the sub-machine automatically switches to the tray containing paper of the same size and rotates the print images in order to make copies (When [Auto Tray Switching] is set to [With Image Rotation]).

Default Settings

In Connect Copy mode, the main machine's default [Copier / Document Server Settings] is applied to the sub-machine.

However, the [Auto Tray Switching] and [Connect Copy Key Display] settings are applied to each machine separately.

Note

  • If you configure the buzzer volume settings under [Sound] in [Screen Features] to set the buzzer sounding for [Operation Completed], only the main machine's buzzer sounds when a copy job is complete.
