User Authentication Management
Device Management > Configuration > Device Settings > User Authentication Management

Select whether Users have to be authenticated before they can use the device. If yes, select the authentication method and configure necessary settings.

When you select the desired authentication method, its setting items appear.

User Authentication is not performed, and the user code management (limiting functions or counting total pages by user code) is disabled.

User Code

User Authentication is not performed, but the user code management (limiting functions or counting total pages by user code) is enabled.

Basic Authentication

User Authentication is performed using Address Book data stored on the device.

Windows Authentication

User Authentication is performed using a domain controller in Windows directory services (such as Active Directory).

LDAP Authentication

User Authentication is performed using the LDAP server.

Integration Server Authentication

User Authentication is performed using the Integration Server.
