You can back up the Address Book and use backup files for restoring.
Note
- Settings for the Address Book can be made by the following Administrators and Users:
- User Administrator
- Logged-in Users
When user authentication is enabled, a logged-in User can change his/her user information.
- Access privileges can be given to individual users/groups registered to the Address Book.
Depending on given privileges, a User may edit or delete stored documents/jobs/information about the Address Book, even if he/she is neither User Administrator nor owner of them.
Encryption Key
Enter the key to access encrypted Address Book data.
[Backup]
Download machine Address Book data as a backup file.
Note
- After clicking the [Backup] button, operations differ depending on the Web browser you are using.
- The default name of the backup file is "<devicename>.udf".
- Backup files can be used to restore Address Books on same machine models only.
Do not attempt to restore Address Books using files backed up on a different model of machine.
- If you are using Internet Explorer 8, downloading will be slower than with other browsers.
To download faster with Internet Explorer 8, open the browser's [Internet Options] menu
and register the machine's URL as a trusted site. Then disable SmartScreen filter for trusted sites.
