Operation Work Flow for Using RP-GL/2 or RTIFF
The operation work flow for printing data using RP-GL/2 or RTIFF on this machine is as follows:
Create print data using an application.
Configure the print settings for this machine.
To configure the print settings, press [Settings] on the Home screen, and then press [Printer Settings], followed by [RPGL Menu] or [RTIFF Menu]. Some of the print settings can also be configured using Web Printing Tool.
Check the machine's printer language.
To configure the [Printer Language] setting, press [Settings] on the Home screen, and then press [Printer Settings]
[System][Emulation]. When [Printer Language] is set to [Auto], the printer automatically selects the printer language according to the print data. When [Printer Language] is set to a setting other than [Auto], an error occurs if the print data and the [Printer Language] setting does not match.
Transfer the print data.
You can use Web Printing Tool in a Web browser to print data, or use the print commands to print data directly. For details, see Using Direct Printing or the following.
