Changing Brightness and Color According to the Original
To change brightness or color of printings, set color variation or adjust color balance.
When you want to change the general settings for brightness or color, set the color variations. When you want to change each setting in detail, adjust the color balance.
Setting Color Variation (Windows)
Configure the settings on the [Image Quality] tab.
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Orientation, Paper Type, and other settings.
In [Adjust Image Quality/Color] on the [Image Quality] tab, select [Advanced Settings] and click [Details...].
In [Color Profile:] on the [Adjust Image Quality/Color] tab, specify the color variations.
Auto: Automatically configures the best color profile pattern depending on the appearance of the document.
Photographic: Enhances mid-tone colors similar to those seen in photographs.
Presentation: Enhances basic colors used for text and graphics. This setting is best for printing tables, graphs, and presentation materials that contain color.
Solid Color: Reproduces colorimetric images with accurate color.
POP Display: Prints the color red more vividly. It is an optimal setting for the POP display.
Rich Color: Enhances dark-tone colors over the whole area.
User Setting: Select this when you print images with CRD (Color Rendering Dictionary) downloaded from your application.
Use ICM: Corrects colors using the Windows ICM function.
Click [OK].
After completing the configuration, click [OK] to print.
Setting Color Variation (macOS)
Configure the settings on the [Print Quality] menu in [Feature Sets] of [Printer Features].
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Orientation, Paper Type, and other settings.
Select [Printer Features].
Select [Print Quality] on [Feature Sets].
In [Color Profile], specify the color variations.
Auto: Automatically configures the best color profile pattern depending on the appearance of the document.
Photographic: Enhances mid-tone colors similar to those seen in photographs.
Presentation: Enhances basic colors used for text and graphics. This setting is best for printing tables, graphs, and presentation materials that contain color.
Solid Color: Reproduces the original colors of graphics and logos accurately.
POP Display: Prints the color red more vividly. It is an optimal setting for the POP display.
Rich Color: Enhances dark-tone colors over the whole area.
User Setting: Select this when you print images with CRD (Color Rendering Dictionary) downloaded from your application.
After completing the configuration, click [Print] to print.
Adjusting Color Balance (Windows)
Configure the settings on the [Image Quality] tab.
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Orientation, Paper Type, and other settings.
In [Adjust Image Quality/Color] on the [Image Quality] tab, select [Advanced Settings] and click [Details...].
Adjust color balance in the [Color Balance] tab.
Brightness: Adjusts the brightness of the image.
Contrast: Adjusts the difference between the bright parts and dark parts of the image.
Adjust Each Color: Adjusts tone for red, green, and blue.
Click [OK].
After completing the configuration, click [OK] to print.
Adjusting Color Balance (macOS)
Configure the settings on the [Color Balance Details].
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Orientation, Paper Type, and other settings.
Adjust color balance in [Color Balance Details].
Brightness: Adjusts the brightness of the image.
Contrast: Adjusts the difference between the bright parts and dark parts of the image.
Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow: Adjusts tone for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow.
After completing the configuration, click [Print] to print.
