Color/Density (Scanner Settings)

Background Density of ADS (Full Color) | Specify the degree of removing the background color from five levels when scanning a magazine or newspaper and removing the background color.

Blank Page Detection
Setting Items | Description |

OCR Scanned PDF Blank Page Sensitivity | Specify the level of detecting blank pages when creating a text embedded PDF from five levels. In Sensitivity Level 1, only a page that is completely white is detected as blank. In Sensitivity Level 5, a page is detected as blank even when some smears or dust appear on the page.

Timer Settings
Setting Items | Description |

Wait Time for Next Original(s) | Specify the time to wait after scanning a page before starting scanning of the next page when scanning multiple pages of an original into a single file.

TWAIN Standby Time | If the machine receives a TWAIN scanning request while it is sending the scanned data by e-mail or to the specified folder or writing the scanned data to memory, it activates the network TWAIN scanner function either immediately or after the specified standby time period elapses following the last operation. Select whether to make the machine activate the network TWAIN scanner function immediately or upon expiration of the standby time period when it receives a TWAIN scanning request from a client computer.
