Browser Settings
This section describes settings displayed by pressing [Menu] () [Settings] of the Control Panel Browser.
Introduction of Two Types of Setting Screens (Standard/Classic)
General
Items | Description |
---|---|
Set homepage | Register a Web page to open when you launch the browser. When you select the current page, the current Web page opens when you launch the browser. |
Privacy & security
Items | Description |
---|---|
Clear cache | Delete the cache memory. |
Show security warnings | Display warnings if a Web page has security problems.

Prohibit Entering a URL | Prohibit inputting of a URL in the address bar.
|
Cookie | Enable Web pages to save cookies to the hard disk and to access them later. You can delete cookies manually.

FORM DATA | Save the text data entered in the form in the machine. To delete the saved password, specify [Password] to OFF and close the browser on the control panel.

PASSWORDS | Save the user names and passwords entered on Web pages. To delete the saved password, specify [Password] to OFF and close the browser on the control panel.

Accessibility

Set search engine | Select a search engine to be used for searching.

Open in background | Open a new tab behind the current tab.

Enable JavaScript | Enable JavaScript. When JavaScript is enabled, it is possible to interact dynamically with programs on Web pages.

Enable plug-ins | Enable plug-ins. When plug-ins are enabled, the browser can process special types of web content.

User Agent Setting | Specify the type or version that is sent to the Web server.
|
Website settings | Check the advanced settings for particular websites. |
PAGE CONTENT | Specify the display method of Web pages.

Bandwidth management
Items | Description |

Search result preloading | You can allow the browser to preload search results in the background to reduce the time to display web pages.

Web page preloading | You can allow the browser to preload Web pages linked from the current page in the background to reduce the time to display web pages.

Load images | Display the images of the Web page.

PDF Preview Settings
Items | Description |
---|---|
Rendering | You can specify whether to give image quality or speed priority when previewing PDFs.
|
ICC Profile | You can specify whether or not to use ICC profiles.
|
Shading | You can specify whether or not shading applies to shaded objects in a PDF file. The amount of shading can be restricted or left unrestricted.
