Answering a Phone Call on the Machine
Connect an external telephone to use the machine as a telephone. You can listen for the sender's voice on the receiver before receiving a fax.
You can switch the reception mode automatically based on the time of the day.
When receiving a call using a line other than the standard G3 line (G3-2 or G3-3), the machine always receives faxes using Auto Reception.
An external telephone is required to use this machine as a telephone.
(mainly North America)
You can also use the optional handset as an external telephone.
