This section describes the settings in [Edit / Stamp] under [Copier / Document Server Settings].

How to Use the "Settings"

Margin

Setting Items

Description

Front Margin: Left / Right

Back Margin: Left / Right

Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

You can specify left and right margins on the front and back sides of copies within the range of 0 to 30 mm.

  • Default

    • Front Margin: Left / Right: [Left], [5] mm

    • Back Margin: Left / Right: [Right], [5] mm

Region B icon (mainly North America)

You can specify left and right margins on the front and back sides of copies within the range of 0.0 to 1.2 inches.

  • Default

    • Front Margin: Left / Right: [Left], [0.2] inch

    • Back Margin: Left / Right: [Right], [0.2] inch

Duplex Copying

Front Margin: Top / Bottom

Back Margin: Top / Bottom

Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

You can specify top and bottom margins on the front and back sides of copies within the range of 0 to 30 mm.

  • Default

    • Front Margin: Top / Bottom: [Top], [0] mm

    • Back Margin: Top / Bottom: [Top], [0] mm

Region B icon (mainly North America)

You can specify top and bottom margins on the front and back sides of copies within the range of 0.0 to 1.2 inches.

  • Default

    • Front Margin: Top / Bottom: [Top], [0] inch

    • Back Margin: Top / Bottom: [Top], [0] inch

Duplex Copying

1 Sided2 Sided Auto Margin: Left/Right

1 Sided2 Sided Auto Margin: Top to Bottom

Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

In [1 Sided][2 Sided] mode, you can specify the margins on the back side L / R or back side T / B within the range of 0 to 30 mm.

  • Default

    • 1 Sided2 Sided Auto Margin: Right / Left: [Left], [0] mm

    • 1 Sided2 Sided Auto Margin: Top to Bottom: [Top], [0] mm

Region B icon (mainly North America)

In [1 Sided][2 Sided] mode, you can specify the margins on the back side L / R or back side T / B within the range of 0.0 to 1.2 inches.

Duplex Copying

Erase

Setting Items

Description

Erase Border

Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

In [Erase Border] mode, you can specify the width for erasing the border within the range of 2 to 99 mm.

  • Default: [10] mm

Region B icon (mainly North America)

In [Erase Border] mode, you can specify the width for erasing the border within the range of 0.1 to 3.9 inches.

  • Default: [0.4] inch

Erasing Shadow and Border When Copying a Book-type Original

Erase Original Shadow in Combine

In Combine mode, you can specify whether to erase a 3 mm (0.1 inch) boundary margin around all four edges of each original.

  • Default: [On]

Combining and Copying a Multi-page Original onto a Single Sheet of Paper

Erase Center Width

Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

In [Erase Center] mode, you can specify the width for erasing the border within the range of 2 to 99 mm.

  • Default: [10] mm

Region B icon (mainly North America)

In [Erase Center] mode, you can specify the width for erasing the border within the range of 0.1 to 3.9 inches.

  • Default: [0.4] inch

Erasing Shadow and Border When Copying a Book-type Original

Stamp

This is applied when Background Numbering, Preset Stamp, User Stamp, Page Numbering, or Stamp Text is specified.

Printing Date, Stamp, and Page Number When Copying

Background Numbering

This section describes the settings in [Background Numbering] on [Stamp]. This is applied when Background Numbering is specified.

Setting Items

Description

Stamp Size Setting

You can specify the size of the numbers.

  • Default: [Normal]

Density Setting

You can specify the density of the numbers.

  • Default: [Normal]

Preset Stamp

This section describes the settings in [Preset Stamp] on [Stamp]. This is applied when Preset Stamp is specified.

Setting Items

Description

Stamp Language

You can select the language of the message printed in Preset Stamp mode.

  • Default: [English]

Stamp Language Priority

You can select the default stamp type that has priority.

  • Default: [COPY]

Stamp Format

You can specify how each stamp is printed.

  • Size

    You can select the size of the stamp: 1 X or 2 X.

    • Default: [1 X]

  • Density

    You can select the pattern used to print the stamp: Normal (Opacity) or Density (Lighter or Lightest).

    • Default: [Normal]

  • Page to Stamp

    You can have the stamp printed on the first page or all pages.

    • Default: [All Pages]

  • Default Stamp Position

    Specify where to print the stamp.

    • Default: [Top Right]

  • Fine-adjust Stamp Position

    Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

    You can adjust the printed position of the stamp in mm.

    • Default: (24 mm from the right edge), (24 mm from the top edge)

    Region B icon (mainly North America)

    You can adjust the printed position of the stamp in inches.

    • Default: (1.0 inch from the right edge), (1.0 inch from the top edge)

User Stamp

This section describes the settings in [User Stamp] on [Stamp]. This is applied when User Stamp is specified.

Setting Items

Description

Program / Delete User Stamp

You can register logos or custom stamps with your favorite designs. You can also delete user stamps.

Select a stamp number, press [Program / Change], and then specify the following:

  • Stamp Name / Image

    Press [Not Programmed] and specify the stamp name or image.

  • Page to Stamp

    You can have the user stamp printed on the first page or all pages.

    • Default: [All Pages]

  • Default Stamp Position

    Specify where to print the user stamp.

    • Default: [Top Right]

  • Fine-adjust Stamp Position

    Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

    You can adjust the printed position of the stamp in mm.

    • Default: (24 mm from the right edge), (24 mm from the top edge)

    Region B icon (mainly North America)

    You can adjust the printed position of the stamp in inches.

    • Default: (1.0 inch from the right edge), (1.0 inch from the top edge)

Date Stamp

This section describes the settings in [Date Stamp] on [Stamp]. This is applied when Date Stamp is specified.

Setting Items

Description

Format

You can select the date format for Data Stamp mode.

Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

  • Default: (DD / MM / YYYY)

Region B icon (mainly North America)

  • Default: (MM / DD / YYYY)

Font

You can select the date stamp font.

  • Default: [Font 1]

Size

You can select the date stamp size.

  • Default: [Auto]

Superimpose

You can have the date stamp printed in white when it overlaps black parts of the image.

  • Default: [Off]

Stamp Setting

Specify how the [Date Stamp] is printed.

  • Page to Stamp

    You can have the date stamp printed on the first page or all pages.

    • Default: [All Pages]

  • Default Stamp Position

    Specify where to print the date stamp.

    • Default: [Top Left]

  • Fine-adjust Stamp Position

    Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

    You can adjust the printed position of the date stamp in mm.

    • Default: (32 mm from the left edge), (8 mm from the top edge)

    Region B icon (mainly North America)

    You can adjust the printed position of the date stamp in inches.

    • Default: (1.3 inches from the left edge), (0.3 inches from the top edge)

Page Numbering

This section describes the settings in [Page Numbering] on [Stamp]. This is applied when Page Numbering is specified.

Setting Items

Description

Stamp Format Priority

You can select the page number format that has priority, such as stamp type ("P1, P2..." or "Page 1, Page 2...").

  • Default: [P1, P2...]

Font

You can select the font in Page Numbering mode.

  • Default: [Font 1]

Size

You can select the size in Page Numbering mode.

  • Default: [Auto]

Duplex Back Page Stamp Position: Left/Right

Duplex Back Page Stamp Position: Top to Bottom

You can select the printed position of the duplex back page number when [Page Numbering] and Duplex copy (Top to Top or Top to Bottom) are specified.

When [Page Numbering in Combine] is specified to [Per Original], the page number is printed at the same position as that on the front page regardless of this setting.

  • Default

    • Duplex Back Page Stamp Position: L/R: [Opposite Position]

    • Duplex Back Page Stamp Position: T to B: [Same Position]

Page Numbering in Combine

When you specify the [Page Numbering] and Combine functions, you can specify the Page Numbering: Per Original or Per Copy.

  • Default: [Per Original]

Stamp on Designating Slip Sheet

(On machines installed with RICOH Always Current Technology v1.1 or earlier, this setting item is enabled only when [Copier (Classic)] is used.)

You can select whether or not to print the page number onto slip sheets when using the Designate and [Page Numbering] functions together.

  • Default: [Off]

Stamp Position

You can specify the page number print position when [Page Numbering] is specified.

  • Default

    • Stamp type of [-1-,-2-...] or [1-1,1-2...]: [Bottom Center]

    • Stamp type other than above: [Top Right]

Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

You can adjust the position in mm.

Region B icon (mainly North America)

You can adjust the position in inches.

Superimpose

You can have the page number printed in white when it overlaps black parts of the image.

  • Default: [Off]

Page Numbering: Change Language

Specify the page numbering initial letter.

  • Default: [P1,P2.../P.1,P.2...]

Stamp Text

This section describes the settings in [Stamp Text] on [Stamp]. This is applied when Stamp Text is specified.

Description

Font

You can select the font in Stamp Text mode.

  • Default: [Font 1]

Size

You can select the stamp text size.

  • Default: [Auto]

Superimpose

You can have the stamp text printed in white when it overlaps black parts of the image.

  • Default: [Off]

Stamp Setting

You can specify how the [Stamp Text] is printed.

  • Page to Stamp

    You can have the stamp text printed on the first page or all pages.

    • Default: [All Pages]

  • Default Stamp Position

    Specify where to print the Stamp Text.

    • Default: [Top Right]

  • Fine-adjust Stamp Position

    Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)

    You can adjust the printed position of the stamp text in mm.

    • Default: (12 mm from the right edge), (8 mm from the top edge)

    Region B icon (mainly North America)

    You can adjust the printed position of the stamp text in inches.

    • Default: (0.5 inches from the right edge), (0.3 inches from the top edge)

Change Job Serial No. for First Job

You can specify whether to append a nine-digit serial number to the text.

  • Default: [Off]

Edit Image

Setting Items

Description

Image Repeat Separation Line

(On machines installed with RICOH Always Current Technology v1.1 or earlier, this setting item is enabled only when [Copier (Classic)] is used.)

You can specify whether to use a separation line when copying multiple pages on one side of the paper. You can select the type of the separation line.

Type (Solid, Broken A, Broken B, Crop Marks):

Selecting solid or broken lines might produce a blank area of approximately 1.5 mm (0.06 inches) in width along the separation line.

  • Default: [No Separation Lines]
