Setting to Show Characters Being Entered as a Password

You can now specify whether to hide the password characters being entered as soon as you enter them.

On the control panel, press [Settings] [System Settings] [Settings for Administrator] [Security] [Show Characters While Entering Password] to specify this setting.
After changing the setting, the screen asking you to select whether to restart the control panel appears. Press [OK] to restart the control panel.

Note

The [Show Characters While Entering Password] setting is not applied to some password entry screens. For example, the characters that are entered are hidden immediately when entering a password for [Store File] in [Copier (Classic)], even if you have selected [Show Momentarily (Last Character Is Displayed Momentarily)].
