Guide to Names and Functions of Components

1. Auxiliary Tray on the Paper Reversal Location
   Pull this tray to print on paper larger than A4 () or 8¹/₂ × 11 ().

2. Paper Reversal Location
   This area is used to reverse pages that are printed on both sides.

4. Main power switch
   To turn the power on and off, open the cover of the main power switch and press the main power switch.

5. Internal tray
   Printed paper is delivered here. And the paper is output under the paper holder attached inside the internal tray.

6. Front cover
   Open this cover to replace the toner cartridge and the drum unit.

7. Paper trays (Trays 1–2)

    After large-volume printing, the ventilation fan may continue to work to lower the temperature inside the machine.

    Open the guide to prevent the printed paper from falling off.

2. Bypass tray
   Use to print on adhesive labels or paper that cannot be loaded in the paper trays.

3. Paper guides
   When loading paper in the bypass tray, align the paper guides flush against the paper.
4. Extender
   Pull this extender out when loading paper larger than A4, 8¹/₂ × 11 in the bypass tray.
5. Lower right cover
   Open this cover to remove jammed paper.

   Open this cover to remove jammed paper.
   Also, open this cover to replace the Fusing unit.

1. USB2.0 Interface Type A
   This interface is not used with this machine.

2. USB3.2 Gen1 Interface Type B
   Use the port to connect the machine and the computer with the USB cable.

3. Ethernet interface
   Used the port to connect the machine to the network or to use the remote management service (@Remote) over the Internet.

4. Vents
   Prevent overheating.
   After large-volume printing, the ventilation fan may continue to work to lower the temperature inside the machine.

This section introduces functions of the attention light.

Do not push or pull the attention light when installed to the machine. Doing so may result in damage or malfunction of the attention light or the machine.

The attention light notifies the user by light when there is a paper jam or no paper is left.
The colors of the lamp and their meanings are as follows:

Lamp	Status
The bottom lamp lights blue.	Printing

The top lamp lights red.
