Use this page to configure the PDF security settings before converting a file stored in the Document Server to PDF.
Encryption
Configure settings for PDF file encryption.
Encrypt Document
Specify whether or not to encrypt the PDF file.
If you select On, specify a password using the Password option below.
Password
Click Change to display the Change Document Password page, where you can specify a password required to open the file.

Select one of the following encryption levels:
40 bit RC4
This is a lower security level but compatible with both Acrobat Reader 3.0 or higher.
128 bit RC4
This is a higher security level than 40 bit RC4, but is compatible only with Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher.
128 bit AES
This is a higher security level than 128 bit RC4, but is compatible only with Acrobat Reader 7.0 or higher.
256 bit AES
This is a higher security level than 128 bit AES, but is compatible only with Acrobat Reader 9.0 or higher.
Permissions
Master Password
Specify whether to specify a password required to change the permissions and password for the PDF file.
If On is selected, specify a password using the Password option below.
Password
Click Change to display the Change Master Password page where you can specify a password required to change the permissions and password.

Specify permissions for the PDF file.
Select a permission level for printing.
Changes
Specify whether to permit editing of the file.
Content Copying and Extraction
Specify whether to permit copying or extracting file content.
Buttons
OK
Click to save the settings and return to the File Details page. Settings configured here are reflected in PDF File Security Settings on the File Details page.
Note
- Files with security settings must be downloaded from the File Details page. Once you return to the Document Server page, the security settings are canceled.
Cancel
Click to cancel the changes.
