Use this page to configure user print volume limits.
To specify a print volume limit for each user, configure the detailed settings on the Change User (Detail Input) or Add User (Detail Input) page.

• Settings on this page can be changed by the following administrators:
  • Machine Administrator

• Some items may not appear depending on machine type or configuration.

Machine Action When Limit is Reached

Specify how the machine responds when the user reaches his/her print volume limit.

Note

• Finish Job and Limit and Stop Job will appear only if User Authentication Management is set to User Code, Basic Authentication, Windows Authentication, or LDAP Authentication.

Print Volume Use Limitation: Unit Count Setting

A "unit" is a per-page numerical value that you can assign to paper sizes. Specifying unit counts allows you to restrict user printing according to the paper size. For example: if you specify a unit count of "5" for Black & White: A3/DLT, a user with 100 units can print 20 sheets (20 sheets @ 5 units per sheet for black and white A3). You can specify a unit count between 0 and 200. Note that if you specify "0", no unit count is applied and printing of the corresponding print size will not be limited.

Note

• Print volume limits based on unit count cannot be applied if Allow Continue Use is selected for Machine Action When Limit is Reached.
• "Others" refers to all sizes except A3/DLT.

Enhanced Print Volume Use Limitation

Specify whether or not to restrict the print volume in the extended feature application.

Note

• This function is unavailable depending on the type of the extended feature application you are using.

Tracking Permission

Specify whether or not to notify the extended feature application of the tracking information.

Stop Printing

Specify whether or not to stop printing when the user reaches his/her print volume limit in the extended feature application.

Note

• This function is unavailable if Allow Continue Use is selected for Machine Action When Limit is Reached or Off is selected for Tracking Permission.
