Add Folder Destinations

Use this page to add a destination shared folder to which scanner files can be sent from the Document Server. This page appears when you click Folder on the Send File by Scanner page.

Add Destinations: Manual Entry

You can add a destination by directly entering the folder path.

Folder Type

Select a shared folder type (FTP, NCP, or SMB) according to the protocol used for file transfer.

Server Name

If files are transferred by FTP, enter the name of the connected server. You can enter up to 64 alphanumeric characters.

Path Name

Enter the shared folder path.
If you are using FTP, you can enter up to 128 characters.
If you are using SMB or NCP, you can enter up to 256 characters.

User Name

Enter the name of a user who has write privileges to the shared folder.
If you are using FTP, you can enter up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
If you are using SMB, you can enter up to 128 alphanumeric characters.

Password

Enter the password of the user entered in the User Name box.
If you are using FTP or NCP, you can enter up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
If you are using SMB, you can enter up to 128 alphanumeric characters.

Connection Type

If files are transferred by NCP, select the Netware logon mode.

Port Number

If files are transferred by FTP, enter the port number to be used. You can specify a number between 1 and 65535. The default is 21.

Save and Add Another

If you click Save and Add Another, the settings are applied and the fields under Add Destinations: Manual Entry are reset to their default values. Click this button to add another destination.

You can add a destination by selecting from the Address Book.

Change Address Book

The available Address Book is indicated as Device (the Address Book stored on the device).

Switch Displayed Title

Sorts by title and displays users/groups belonging to the selected title tab.
When you select Title 1, Title 2, or Title 3, Current Title appears. To display users/groups belonging to a tab, click the button corresponding to that tab.

Current Title

When you select the tab (button) corresponding to the title selected for Switch Displayed Title, the users/groups belonging to that tab are displayed.
Both users and groups are displayed if All is selected for View. Either the users or groups are displayed if User or Group is selected.

View

Select from the following items you want to display in the list:

Search for

Select a search item in the Search for list, enter a search string in the box to the right, and then click Search to start searching for users and groups that match the search criteria.
Available search string characters differ depending on the search item.

Note

Name

Up to 20 characters can be entered.

Entry No.

A number between 1 and 50000 can be specified.

Path Name

You can enter up to 256 characters.

Page control buttons

Click the buttons above the list to change the display page.
The total number of pages and current page number are displayed between the Go to the previous page. button and the Go to the next page. button.

Go to the first page. button

Displays the first page.

Go to the previous page. button

Displays the previous page.

Go to the next page. button

Displays the next page.

Go to the last page. button

Displays the last page.

Page box and Go button

Displays the specified page. Enter the number of the page in the Page box, and then click Go to display it.

Display Items

Select the number of display items per page.

Total No. of Programmed Items

Displays the number of users/groups in the list.
If Off is selected for Switch Displayed Title, the total number of registered users and groups is displayed. If Title X is selected for Switch Displayed Title and the tab (button) is selected for Current Title, the number of users/groups belonging to that tab is displayed.

List of display items

To add to the destination, select the check box to the left of the user or group.
The list contains the following items:

Entry No.

Displays a user- or group-specific number assigned when the user or group is registered to the Address Book. The User icon to the left of the entry No. indicates a user. The Group icon indicates a group.

Name

Displays the name of the user or group.

Path Name

Displays the path name registered as the user's folder information. If the destination is a group, these fields show no information.

Folder Type

Displays the shared folder type (FTP, NCP, or SMB).

Protection Code for Destination

If a protection code is set to the folder destination, you can edit the code. You can enter up to eight numeric characters.

Check Group Destinations

The Check button appears if the destination is a group. Click Check to open the Check Group Destinations page, where you can view users/groups belonging to that group.

Buttons

OK

Click to save the settings and return to the Send File by Scanner page. The settings configured here are reflected in the destinations list on the Send File by Scanner page.

Cancel

Click to cancel the settings and return to the Send File by Scanner page.
