Firmware Update
Use this page to update the device's firmware.
Note
- This page appears only when Active is selected for Permit Firmware Update on the Device Management - Configuration - Device Settings - System page, and you are logged in as Machine Administrator.
- Make sure the device is not in use before performing the firmware update.
- This is displayed only if/when supported by the machine.
Firmware File Name
Specify the firmware file used for the update.
Enter the full path name of the file you want to use, or click Browse to select the file.
Note
- Make sure you already have the firmware file on your computer or system. You must specify the correct firmware file to successfully complete the update.
Update
Click to update the current firmware, using the file specified in the Firmware File Name box.
If a confirmation message about updating appears, click OK.
If the firmware update fails, an error code appears in the area at the top of the page. See Firmware Update Errors for troubleshooting, and then try again.
Firmware Version
List of display items
Displays names of available firmware, version numbers, and part numbers.
Module Name
Displays the firmware name for each module.
Version
Displays the firmware version number.
Part Number
Displays the firmware part number.
Note
- Firmware of some modules may not be updated even if you perform the update.

Refresh
Click to update the currently displayed information.
Back
Click to return to the Configuration page.
