Change Group
Use this page to change the information of registered groups.
Note
- Settings for the Address Book can be made by the following Administrators and Users:
- User Administrator
- Logged-on Users
When user authentication is enabled, a logged-on User can change his/her user information.
- Access privileges can be given to individual users/groups registered to the Address Book. Depending on given privileges, a User may edit or delete stored documents/jobs/information about the Address Book, even if he/she is neither User Administrator nor owner of them.
Registration No.
Displays the registration number set for the group. You can enter a value between 1 and 50000.
Name
Displays the group name. You can enter up to 20 characters in this box.
Key Display
Displays the name shown on the machine's control panel. You can enter up to 16 characters in this box.
Note
- When you create a group but leave the [Key Display] box empty, the [Name] string is put into the box. However, the portion of the string that exceeds 16 characters does not appear in the [Key Display] box.
Title
Title 1
Select the tab to which it belongs, when using Title 1.
Title 2
Select the tab to which it belongs, when using Title 2.
Title 3
Select the tab to which it belongs, when using Title 3.
Add to Freq.
Select whether to register to the Freq. page.
Protection
Protect Destination
You can limit availability of this group through a protection code or restricted access privileges.
Protection Object
Select the check box of the item you want to protect using a protection code.
If [Folder Destination] is selected, a message appears prompting you to enter the protection code when specifying this group as the destination folder to which files are transferred.
Protection Code
To set a protection code, click [Change]. When the [Change Protection Code] page appears, enter the code you want to set.

To set access privileges for group information registered to the Address Book, click [Change]. When the [Protect Destination: Permissions for Users/Groups] page appears, set the access privilege.

Details of Group
A group can contain not only user(s) but also other group(s). To make this group belong to another group, click [Change]. When the [Add to Group] page appears, specify the group to which this group belongs.

Click [Browse] to view users/groups that belong to this group.

Click to apply the changes and display the [Address List] page.
[Save and Add Another]
Click to apply the changes and display the [Add Group] page.
[Cancel]
Click to cancel the changes.
