Configure settings for device name and priority tray.
Note
- Settings on this page can be changed by the following administrators and users:
- Network Administrator (Device Name, Comment, and Location)
- Machine Administrator (Display Panel Language, Spool Printing, Protect Printer Display Panel, Energy Saver Key to Change Mode, Stop Key to Suspend Print Job, Permit Firmware Update, Permit Firmware Structure Change, Display IP Address on Device Display Panel, Media Slot Use and tray settings)
- Users logged on (all items except Protect Printer Display Panel), provided that:
User authentication is enabled on the device and users are permitted to make changes to administrator's setting items.
- Some items may not appear depending on machine type or configuration.
General Settings
Device Name
Enter the device name, using up to 31 characters.
Note
- The device name is different from the host name entered in the Host Name box on the Configuration: Network: IPv4 or Configuration: Network: IPv6 page.
Comment
Enter a note about the machine, using up to 31 characters.
Location
Enter the device location, using up to 32 characters.
Display Panel Language
Select the language(s) for the device's control panel.
Note
- Available languages depend on machine type.
- This item does not appear if the device has only one language available.
- To apply the language selected, turn the machine off and then back on, or click OK on the Reset the Machine page.
Spool Printing
Select whether Spool Printing is active or inactive.
This appears only when Spool Printing is supported by the machine.
Note
- When Active is selected, you can select Job - Printer - Spool Printing.
This displays the Spool Printing Job List page.
When Inactive is selected, the Spool Printing item does not appear on the Job page.
- Spool printing is active or inactive when you click OK on this page.
Job - Printer - Spool Printing is displayed or hidden when the Web browser restarts after the setting is applied.
Protect Printer Display Panel
Select whether to restrict access from the printer control panel, and if yes, select a protection level.
If protection is enabled, changing control panel items is not possible.
This appears only when printer function is supported by the machine.
Note
- If you select Level 1 or Level 2, the protection level that is applied is the same as that specified for Level 1 or Level 2 of the Menu Protect setting in the printer's initial settings, which are configured using the machine control panel.
- For details about setting Menu Protect, see the operating instructions provided with the machine.
- This item appears only when you are logged in as Machine Administrator.
Energy Saver Key to Change Mode
Select a machine mode when you press the "Energy Saver" key on the machine's control panel.
Low Power Mode
In this mode, the machine will return to the normal mode quicker than Sleep Mode, but the power consumption will be increased.
Sleep Mode
In this mode, the machine will return to the normal mode slower than Low Power Mode, but the power consumption will be reduced.
Stop Key to Suspend Print Job
Select how to stop a print job when you press the "Stop" key on the machine's control panel.
All Print Job
All print jobs are canceled temporarily. In the Job Management page on the machine's control panel, specify the job you want to cancel.
Only Job Being Operated
Only jobs that are being processed are canceled.
Permit Firmware Update
Select whether firmware update is active or inactive.
Note
- When Active is selected, you can select Device Management - Configuration - Device Settings - Firmware Update.
This displays the Firmware Update page.
When Inactive is selected, the Firmware Update item does not appear on the Configuration page.
Also, firmware update via FTP or the device's control panel is no longer possible.
- This is displayed only if/when supported by the machine.
Permit Firmware Structure Change
Select whether or not to supervise firmware structure changes.
Firmware structure change refers to insertion and removal of SD cards containing firmware, and insertion of incorrect SD cards.
Active
Whenever the firmware structure is changed, the machine requires you to log in as Machine Administrator after it reboots.
After you log in as Machine Administrator, the machine will start using the updated firmware.
The version of the updated firmware is displayed on the machine's control panel, allowing you to check whether or not the firmware structure change is correct.
Inactive
Changes to firmware structure can be made without administrator supervision.
Display IP Address on Device Display Panel
Select whether to display the device IP address on its control panel.
Note
- The IP address display position or order on the control panel varies depending on the device model.
- This is displayed only if/when supported by the machine.
Media Slot Use
Specify whether or not to allow users to use the machine's media slot.
Note
- This is displayed only if/when supported by the machine.
Print from Memory Storage Device
Specify whether or not to allow users to print the data from a USB flash memory device or an SD card using the media slot.
Compatible ID
You can enable or disable the Compatible ID setting.
Display Supply Info: Home Screen
Specify whether or not to display the supply information on the home screen of the machine's control panel.
Display Supply Info: Printer Application Screen
Specify whether or not to display the supply information on the printer application screen of the machine's control panel.
Output Tray
Select the output tray for each function.
Note
- Available output trays depend on machine type or options installed.
- The output tray selection for individual functions does not appear if the machine has only one tray installed.
Printer
Select the output tray you want to use for the printer function.
Paper Tray Priority
Printer
Select the priority tray you want to use for the printer function.

- Available input trays depend on machine type or options installed.
Buttons
Refresh
Click to update the currently displayed information.
Note
- Before making the settings, click Refresh to obtain the machine's current status.
OK
Click to apply the settings.
Cancel
Click to cancel the settings.
