Initial Settings
Configuration > Scanner > Initial Settings

Specify the initial settings that you want displayed when the scanner is first tuned on.

Note

• Settings on this page can be changed by the following Administrator and Users:
  • Machine Administrator
  • Users logged on to a device that is set to perform user authentication (WSD (Scanner))
    Users must have normal scanner operation rights and permission to change settings that usually only administrators can change.

Menu Protect

Select whether or not to restrict access from the scanner's control panel, and specify a protection level for restricted access.
If protection is enabled, users cannot change control panel items.

Note

• If you select "Level 1" or "Level 2", the protection level that is applied is the same as that specified for "Level 1" or "Level 2" of the [Menu Protect] setting in the scanner's initial settings, which are configured using the machine control panel.
  Note that the access code must be specified in the device's initial system settings.

  For details about setting [Menu Protect], see the scanner operating instructions.

WSD (Scanner)

Specify whether or not to enable scanning using WSD (Web Services on Devices).

Buttons

[Refresh]

Click to update the currently displayed information.

Note

• Before making the settings, click [Refresh] to obtain the machine's current status.

[OK]

Click to apply the settings.

[Cancel]

Click to cancel the settings.
