Make basic environment settings for the fax function.

Note

Closed Network Code

Enter an ID code used for ID Transmission. The ID code must be four digits or four uppercase letters (0001 to FFFE).

Internet Fax

Select whether to use the Internet Fax function.

Indial

Select whether to use the dial-in function.
The dial-in function allows you to use more than one number with only one telephone line. With this device, two numbers can be used, one for telephone and one for fax.
If [On] is selected, enter the telephone number in [Program Direct Phone No].

Program Direct Phone No.

Enter the number to assign to a telephone when using the dial-in function. Enter four digits. Enter the phone number (low-order four digits) that was provided by NTT when you signed the dial-in contract with NTT.
The phone number not programmed as the direct phone number is used as the fax number.

Menu Protect

Select whether to restrict fax operations from the printer control panel, and if yes, select a protection level.
If protection is enabled, changing control panel items is not possible.

Note

Program Memory Lock ID

Enter the ID for printing faxes stored with memory lock reception. The ID must be four digits long (0001 to 9999).

Fax Header

Enter the sender name you want to print on the fax message. Up to 32 characters can be entered.
To use the second name for overseas transmission, we recommend you enter the sender name in [First Name(Fax Header)] using Chinese characters, and [Second Name(Fax Header)] using alphabetical characters respectively.

Own Name

Enter the information you want to send to the other party when you send or receive a fax via G3 line. Up to 20 characters (uppercase letters only) can be entered.
Normally, you should include your own name. The own name appears on the other party's device display and is printed in the report.

Own Fax Number

Enter the fax number you want to send to the other party when you send or receive a fax via G3-1 (standard G3 line), G3-2, G3-3, or I-G3 line. You can enter up to 20 characters consisting of digits and symbols (+ and spaces).
The facsimile number appears on the other party's device display and is printed in the report.

G4 Terminal ID

Enter the information necessary when using G4 line for transmitting and receiving faxes.

Country Code

Enter the code of the country where the device is used. Up to 4 digits can be entered.

Facsimile No.

Enter a fax number. Up to 12 digits can be entered.

Terminal Name

Enter a name for identifying the device when it is used as a fax. Up to 22 characters (alphanumeric characters, symbols, and spaces) can be entered.

Select a line type for connecting the G3 analog line.

ISDN-G3 Line

Make settings for sending data via ISDN-G3 line.

Own Number 1

Enter the device's fax number. Up to 20 digits, including pauses "-", can be entered.

When two faxes are used on one line, enter the second fax number. Up to 20 digits, including pauses "-", can be entered.

Sub-address

Enter a sub-address (0 to 9999).

ISDN-G4 Line

Make the settings used to transmit data using ISDN-G4 line.

Own Number 1

Enter the device's fax number. Up to 20 digits, including pauses "-", can be entered.

When two faxes are used on one line, enter the second fax number. Up to 20 digits, including pauses "-", can be entered.

Enter a sub-address (0 to 9999).
