Sending Settings
This section describes the settings in [Sending Settings] under [Scanner Settings].
How to Use the Settings Screen
Compression Settings
Setting Items | Description |
---|---|
Compression (Black & White) | Select whether to compress the data of an original scanned in black and white. By compressing the data, you can reduce the time required to send it.
Compression Method (Black & White) | Specify the compression method.
Compression (Gray Scale/Full Color) | Select whether to compress the data of an original scanned in multi-level (gray scale or full color). When applying compression, specify the compression level among 5 levels. A lower compression level improves the image quality, but the time required for sending the data becomes longer.
Compression Method for High Compression PDF | Specify the compression method to use in High Compression PDF files.
High Compression PDF Level | Specify the compression level of High Compression PDF files.

Use this setting and specify a size accordingly when the SMTP server to use has a restriction imposed on the size of e-mails.
Divide & Send Email | Select whether to divide an image that exceeds the file size specified in [Maximum Email Size] and send the data by attaching the divided parts to multiple e-mails.
