Send (Email/Folder)
This section describes the settings in [Send (Email/Folder)] under [System Settings].
How to Use the Settings Screen
Setting Items | Description |

SMTP Server | Enter the Host Name or IPv4 Address in the server name. Specify whether to use the secure connection (SSL) or the port number.

SMTP Authentication | Specify whether to enable or disable SMTP authentication.
When you select [On], specify the following authentication information:

POP before SMTP | Specify whether to enable or disable POP authentication (POP before SMTP).
When you select [On], specify the following authentication information:

POP3 Settings | Specify the POP3 server name. The specified server information is used for authentication by POP before SMTP. Enter the Host Name or IPv4 Address in the server name. To encrypt the password, select [Auto] or [On] depending on the POP server settings. You can select [SSL/TLS] or [STARTTLS] for encrypting the POP3 connection when receiving an e-mail or authenticating in POP before SMTP. You can also verify the server certificate. |
Administrator's Email Address | Specify the Administrator's Email Address of the machine. This e-mail address is used as [Sender] for sending an e-mail under the Scanner function or the sender's address of the error notification e-mail. |
Email Communication Port | Specify the port number for the POP3 Server. The POP3 Port Number is used for [POP before SMTP].

Auto Specify Sender Name | Specify whether to specify the [Sender] when sending an e-mail on the machine. When you specify [On], the address specified in [Administrator's Email Address] is used as the sender's address if you do not specify the [Sender].

Auto Email Notify | When a machine error occurs, you can specify whether to send the details about the error to a preregistered e-mail address.

Folder
Setting Items | Description |

Default User Name/Password (Send) | Specify user names and passwords required to authenticate the shared folders when sending the folders using the Scanner function. If authentication information is not specified to the folder destination in the Address Book, or when no authentication information is specified on the Authentication screen of direct transmission, the authentication information specified by Default User Name/Password (Send) is used. You can specify the authentication information for SMB protocol and FTP protocol separately. |
