Recovering from Sleep Mode When a Person Approaches the Machine

The sensor on the front side of the machine detects a person approaching the machine and cancels Sleep mode automatically. You can operate the machine as soon as you stand in front of it.

  • When the machine recovers from Sleep mode using the sensor, the main power indicator turns on. Even if Sleep mode is canceled, the operation screen is not displayed until you touch the touch panel.

  • In the factory default setting, the function is set to [Active]. Use the following procedure to change the setting:

1Press [Settings] on the Home screen.

2Press [System Settings].

3Press [Machine][Power/Energy Saving][Human Detection Sensor].

4Select [Inactive], and then press [OK].

5After completing the procedure, press [Home] ().

Note

  • The Human Detection Sensor may detect changes in the environmental conditions such as air flow, direct sunlight, strong electromagnetic waves, or any movement of a person.
