Send Settings (Scanner Settings)
This section describes the settings in the [Send Settings] tab under [Scanner Settings].
Setting Items | Description |

Compression (Black & White) | Select whether to compress the data of an original scanned in black and white. By compressing the data, you can reduce the time required to send it.

Compression Method (Black & White) | Specify the compression method.

Compression (Gray Scale / Full Color) | Select whether to compress the data of an original scanned in multi-level (gray scale or full color). When applying compression, specify the compression level among 5 levels. A lower compression level improves the image quality, but the time required for sending the data becomes longer.

Compression Method for High Compression PDF | Specify the compression method to use in High Compression PDF files.

High Compression PDF Level | Specify the compression level of High Compression PDF files.

OCR Scanned PDF: Blank Page Sensitivity | Specify the level of detecting blank pages when creating a text embedded PDF from five levels. In Sensitivity Level 1, only a page that is completely white is detected as blank. In Sensitivity Level 5, a page is detected as blank even when some smears or dust appear on the page.

Max. Email Size | Specify the maximum size of a file that can be attached to an e-mail when sending the scanned data by e-mail. When selecting [On], specify the upper limit of the file size between 128 and 102,400KB. Use this setting and specify a size accordingly when the SMTP server to use has a restriction imposed on the size of e-mails.

Divide & Send Email | Select whether to divide an image that exceeds the file size specified in [Maximum Email Size] and send the data by attaching the divided parts to multiple e-mails.

Insert Additional Email Info | Select whether to insert additional information (subject, scan date, and the administrator's e-mail address) into the e-mail message.

No. of Digits for Single Page Files | Specify the number of digits in the number that is appended to the name of files with a single page.

Default Email Subject | Specify the subject that is given to an e-mail when a subject is not specified on the scanner screen.

File Emailing Method | Specify the method when sending the scanned data in an e-mail.

URL File Storage Period | Specify the storage period to retain the scanned data that is sent as an URL in the e-mail (1-168 hours). The data is deleted automatically after the specified period has passed. This setting can be specified when [On] is specified in [Download File Directly From URL Link].
