Setting Replacement Alert
You can specify when the indicator lamp for [Check Status] on the control panel lights up to prompt users to replace supplies.
Press [Home] (
) at the bottom of the screen in the center.
Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] icon (
).
Press [Machine Features].
Press [Maintenance].
Press [Replacement Alert].
Select the alert timing from [Notify Sooner], [Normal], or [Notify Later].
Press [OK].
Press [Exit].
Press [User Tools] (
) on the top right of the screen.
Press [Home] () at the bottom of the screen in the center.
The standard notification timing for toner cartridge is shown below. The actual number of days and pages that the machine can print with the remaining toner depends on printing conditions.
[Notify Sooner]: Notifies about 7 days before toner ends. The machine can print about 950 pages after the notification.
[Normal]: Notifies about 5 days before toner ends. The machine can print about 680 pages after the notification.
[Notify Later]: Notifies about 3 days before toner ends. The machine can print about 400 pages after the notification.
