Managing Device Information
- Keep SD cards and USB flash memory devices out of reach of children. If a child accidentally swallows an SD card or USB flash memory device, consult a doctor immediately.
The machine's device information can be set by an administrator with privileges to manage devices, users, networks and files.
The machine's device information can be exported to an external device as a device setting information file in the CSV format. By importing an exported device setting information file to the machine, you can use it as a backup file to restore device settings. The same device information can be imported and used among multiple devices as long as the devices are the same model.
Also, managing device setting information file with the device management server allows device setting information file to be imported periodically at a specified time or at device startup.

Importing Device Setting Information on the Server
Use the device management server or web server.
To use the device management server, see the device management server manual.
To use the web server, open the device setting information CSV file, change the data displayed under "ModuleID" to "-", and store it on the web server. For details, contact your sales representative.
If the device configuration is changed, export the updated device setting information file.
For details about SD card handling, see "Inserting/Removing an SD Card", For First-time Users.
You can also use a web browser from networked computers to configure the import, export, and server settings. (We use Web Image Monitor installed on this machine.) For details, see Web Image Monitor Help.
