Specifying the user certificate
Prepare each user certificate in advance. If the valid period of the user certificate elapses, no encrypted messages can be sent. Prepare a certificate that is within its valid period.
You can specify the user certificate using a web browser from networked computers. (We use Web Image Monitor installed on this machine.)
Open a web browser from a networked computer, and then log in to Web Image Monitor as the user administrator.
For details on how to log in, see Administrator Login Method.
Point to [Device Management], and then click [Address Book].
Select the user for whom the certificate will be installed.
Click [Detail Input], and then click [Change].
The Change User screen appears.
Enter the user address in the "Email Address" field under "Email".
Click [Change] in "User Certificate".
Click [Browse], select the user certificate file, and then click [Open].
Click [OK].
The user certificate is installed.
“Updating...” appears. Wait for about one or two minutes, and then click [OK].
If the previous screen does not appear again after you click [OK], wait for a while, and then click the web browser's refresh button.
Log out.
For details about logging out, see Administrator Logout Method.
