About PostScript 3
When using PostScript 3, the machine analyzes and renders the data received from a client computer, and prints the document accordingly. PostScript 3 can be used under both Windows and Macintosh environments.
Notes When Using PostScript 3
Fonts
Type 1 fonts installed on this machine comply with the Adobe Type1 font format (1.1). However, if the font causes autointerference with its outlines, it may not print properly.
When characters that do not have font hinting information are used and downloaded into an application, the characters may be unclear when printed, depending on whether or not they are enlarged or compressed.
Miscellaneous
When the PostScript 3 printer driver is used, the actual output may not be as previewed in some applications.
When certain applications are used with the PostScript 3 printer driver, an extra blank page may be added to the end of duplex jobs with an odd number of pages. The added blank page will be counted as a black-and-white page.
Narrow lines may not print as required. Lines of the same line weight and color may print differently.
