Item List of the Browser Settings
This section explains the settings for the browser.
To display the settings, press [Menu] () at the bottom of the screen in the center, and then pressing [Settings].
General
Set homepage
Register a Web page to open when you launch the browser.
Go to the page you want as your home page and select [Current page] to open the page when you launch the browser.
AUTO-FILL
Form auto-fill
Enable the preset text to be input automatically in a web form with a single touch.
Default: [ON]
Auto-fill text
Preset text to be input automatically in web forms.
Privacy & security
Clear cache
Delete the cache memory.
Clear history
Delete the browsing history.
Show security warnings
Display warnings if a Web page has security problems.
Default: [ON]
Prohibit Entering URL
Prohibit entering a URL on the web browser.
COOKIES
Accept cookies
Enable Web pages to save cookies to the hard disk and to access them later.
Default: [ON]
Clear all cookie data
Delete all cookies.
FORM DATA
Remember form data
Save the data entered in the form.
Default: [ON]
Clear form data
Delete the stored form data.
PASSWORDS
Remember passwords
Save the user names and passwords entered on Web pages.
Default: [ON]
Clear passwords
Delete all stored passwords.
Accessibility
Force enable zoom
You can zoom a website whose pages can be displayed in a specific size only.
Default: [OFF]
TEXT SIZE
Preview
You can preview a text-size image displayed on a Web page.
Text scaling
Drag the slider to adjust a text size displayed on a Web page.
Zoom on double-tap
Drag the slider to adjust the zoom percentage applied when the display panel was double-tapped.
Minimum font size
Drag the slider to adjust the minimum font size.
INVERTED SCREEN RENDERING
Preview
You can check how a Web page is displayed when inverted screen rendering is applied.
Inverted rendering
Displays a Web page by inverting the output of black and white.
Default: [OFF]
Contrast
Drag the slider to adjust contrast when [Inverted rendering] is checked.
Advanced
Set search engine
Select a search engine to be used as the default search engine that opens automatically when a search is made on web.
Default: [Google]
Open in background
Open a new tab behind the current tab.
Default: [OFF]
Enable JavaScript
Enable JavaScript. When JavaScript is enabled it is possible to interact dynamically with programs on Web pages.
Default: [ON]
Enable plug-ins
Enable plug-ins. When plug-ins are enabled, the browser can process special types of web content.
Default: [Always on]
User Agent Setting
Specify the type, version, and other information of the Web server that is sent to the Web server.
Default: [Desktop]
Website settings
Check the advanced settings for particular websites.
PAGE CONTENT
Default zoom
Select the magnification percentage of the browser.
Default: [Medium]
Open pages in overview
Display the newly opened Web page in full screen.
Default: [ON]
Auto-fit pages
Adjust Web pages so they fit the screen of the machine.
Default: [ON]
Block pop-ups
Prevent advertisements and other images from appearing on screen in separate windows.
Default: [ON]
Text encoding
Select the text encoding.
RESET DEFAULTS
Reset to default
Restore all settings to their factory defaults.
Bandwidth management
Search result preloading
You can allow the browser to preload search results in the background to reduce the time to display web pages.
Default: [Only on Wi-Fi]
Web page preloading
You can allow the browser to preload Web pages linked from the current page in the background to reduce the time to display web pages.
Default: [Only on Wi-Fi]
Load images
Display the images of the Web page.
Default: [ON]
Labs
Quick controls
You can hide URL bars. By swiping your thumb into the screen from the left or right edge, you can use the quick control menu.
Default: [OFF]
PDF Preview Settings
Rendering
You can specify whether to give image quality or speed priority when previewing PDFs.
Default: [Quality]
ICC Profile
You can specify whether or not to use ICC profiles.
Default: [Do not Use]
Shading
You can specify whether or not shading applies to shaded objects in a PDF file. The amount of shading can be restricted or left unrestricted.
