Wide LCT

Holds 2,200 sheets of paper. Use to copy or print onto transparencies, adhesive labels, translucent paper, and custom size paper.

Large capacity tray (LCT)

Holds up to 4,400 sheets of paper.

Extension unit of LCT

Attached to the LCT and holds 2,500 sheets of B4 JISLandscape, A4Landscape, 81/2× 14Landscape, or 81/2× 11Landscape paper.

Multi bypass tray (Tray A)

Holds up to 500 sheets of paper.

Banner sheet tray of multi bypass tray (Tray A)

Allows you to load large-sized paper in the multi bypass tray (Tray A).

Multi bypass attachment kit

Attaches the multi bypass tray (Tray A) to the two-tray wide LCT.

Two-tray wide LCT

Holds up to 4,800 sheets of paper. You can load paper whose sizes are up to SRA3 or 13 × 191/5.

Banner sheet tray of two-tray wide LCT

Allows you to load large-sized paper in the two-tray wide LCT.

Connects the main unit to the two-tray wide LCT.

Booklet Finisher SR5100

Sorts, stacks, and staples multiple sheets of paper. Consists of the following paper trays:

  • Finisher upper tray

  • Finisher shift tray

  • Finisher booklet tray

Copies or prints can be punched if the optional punch unit is installed on the finisher.

Sorts, stacks, and staples multiple sheets of paper. Consists of the following paper trays:

  • Finisher upper tray

Copies or prints can be punched if the optional punch unit is installed on the finisher.

SR5000 series output tray for banner sheet

Allows you to output paper that has a horizontal length of 487.8 mm (19.21 inches) or longer on Finisher SR5110 or Booklet Finisher SR5120.

Booklet Finisher SR5120

Sorts, stacks, and staples multiple sheets of paper. The saddle stitch function can staple multiple sheets of paper in the center and fold them into booklets. Consists of the following paper trays:

  • Finisher shift tray 1

  • Finisher shift tray 2

  • Finisher booklet tray

Prints can be punched if the optional punch unit is installed on the finisher.

Depending on when the machine was bought, this option may not be available. For details, contact your service representative.

Trimmer unit

Cuts the fore edge of the book block after the book block is saddle stitched.

Booklet Finisher SR5120 is required in order to attach this.

Depending on when the machine was bought, this option may not be available. For details, contact your service representative.

Finisher SR5110

Sorts, stacks, and staples multiple sheets of paper. Consists of the following paper trays:

  • Finisher shift tray 1

  • Finisher shift tray 2

Prints can be punched if the optional punch unit is installed on the finisher.

Depending on when the machine was bought, this option may not be available. For details, contact your service representative.

Finisher bridge unit

This option is required for connecting another manufacturer's finisher.

High capacity stacker

Consists of the following paper trays:

  • Stacker upper tray

  • Stacker tray

The stacker upper tray can hold up to 250 sheets of paper, and stacker tray can hold up to 5,000 sheets of paper.

Description

A3/11 × 17 tray unit

You can load paper sizes up to A3Landscape or 11 × 17Landscape in Tray 1 using this unit. If you install the A3/11 × 17 tray unit on your machine, you cannot use it as a tandem tray.

Copy connector

Allows you to use the connect copy function.

Optional feed roller unit

You can load coated paper in the paper tray.

Carbonless paper unit

You can load carbonless paper in the two-tray wide LCT tray.

Note

  • The main unit's bypass tray cannot be used when the two-tray wide LCT is attached.

  • You cannot install multiple finishers simultaneously.

  • To use the twin interposer, Finisher SR5110 or Booklet Finisher SR5120 is required.

  • To use the folding unit, Finisher SR5090, Booklet Finisher SR5100, Finisher SR5110, or Booklet Finisher SR5120 is required.

  • To use the interposer, Finisher SR5090 or Booklet Finisher SR5100 is required.

  • To use the output jogger, Finisher SR5090 or Booklet Finisher SR5100 is required.

  • You can install the high capacity stacker only if the decurl unit is installed. To prevent blocking, the buffer pass unit is required.

Guide to Functions of the Machine’s Internal Options

  • Fax unit

    Allows you to use the facsimile function.

  • Extra G3 interface unit

    This lets you add a G3 fax line. A maximum of two G3 interface units can be installed.

  • Expansion memory

    Provides 60 MB of additional memory for the facsimile function. (Standard 4 MB)

    This allows you to send and receive fax documents at high resolution (Super Fine), and also to receive fax documents at high resolution (Fine). This enables you to increase the number of sheets of originals that can be stored in memory.

  • PostScript 3 unit

    Allows you to output using Genuine Adobe PostScript 3.

  • OCR unit

    Recognizes the scanned originals optically, and creates a PDF with the text data embedded.

  • IPDS unit

    Allows you to print using Intelligent Printer Data Stream (IPDS).

  • XPS card

    Allows you to directly output XPS files.

  • Color controller

    Allows you to print by Fiery controller.

  • IEEE 1284 interface board

    Allows you to connect to an IEEE 1284 cable.

  • Wireless LAN board

    Allows you to communicate over wireless LAN.

  • File format converter

    Allows you to download documents that are stored in the Document Server to the computer.

  • VM card

    Allows you to install applications compatible with the "Embedded Software Architecture" platform.

    To expand the function of this machine, various applications written in Java language can be added.

Note

  • Only one of the following can be installed: IEEE 1284 interface board, wireless LAN board, or file format converter.

  • The Ethernet interface and wireless LAN board cannot be used simultaneously.
