Interposer

This section explains the paper tray settings in the [Interposer] menu under [Tray Paper Settings].

Interposer Upper and Lower Tray (when the Twin interposer is installed)

This section explains the paper tray settings for the upper and lower trays of the Twin Interposer.

Paper Type

  • Plain Paper

  • Recycled Paper

  • Yellow

  • Green

  • Blue

  • Ivory

  • Orange

  • Pink

  • Red

  • Gray

  • Letterhead

  • Label Paper

  • Translucent Paper

  • Preprinted Paper

  • Transparency

  • Prepunched Paper

  • Textured Paper

  • Metallic/Pearl Paper

  • Synthetic Paper

  • Tab Stock

  • Coated: Matte

  • Coated: Glossy

  • Coated: High Gloss

Default: [Plain Paper]

If [Tab Stock] is selected, configure [Tab Position Shift] as required.

If [Coated: Matte] or [Coated: Glossy] is selected, configure [Gloss Control] as required. For gloss control, take note of the followings.

  • Make adjustment by 1 step each time.

  • If you decrease the value, a fusing error may occur.

  • If you increase the value excessively, a printing error may occur.

  • Depending on the paper, the gloss may not change.

Paper Weight

  • Paper Weight 1 (52.3–65.9g/m2)

  • Paper Weight 2 (66–80.9g/m2)

  • Paper Weight 3 (81–100.9g/m2)

  • Paper Weight 4 (101–127.4g/m2)

  • Paper Weight 5 (127.5–150g/m2)

  • Paper Weight 6 (150.1–216g/m2)

  • Paper Weight 7 (216.1–256g/m2)

  • Paper Weight 8 (256.1–300g/m2)

  • Paper Weight 9 (300.1–360g/m2)

Default: [Paper Weight 3 (81.0–100.9g/m2)]

Specify the paper size with the number keys when you select [Custom Size]. You can specify a custom size between 139.7 and 330.2 mm (5.50 and 13.00 inches) vertically, and between 139.7 and 487.7 mm (5.50 and 19.20 inches) horizontally.
