Use this page to make settings for printing using IPv6.

Specify whether IPv6 is active or inactive.

Host Name

Enter the host name you want to set for the network interface board, using up to 31 characters. The default is RNP, followed by the MAC address of the active interface board. If you change the name to other than the default, the new name cannot begin with "RNP" or "rnp".

Note

Domain Name

Enter the name of the domain to which the device belongs, using up to 63 alphanumeric characters. Spaces cannot be used.

Link-local Address

Displays the link-local address of the network interface board.
The link-local address applies only within the local network (local segment) and begins with "fe80::", followed by an identifier generated from the MAC address of the active interface board.

Stateless Address

Specify the stateless address of the network interface board.

Stateless Address Autoconfiguration

Specify whether auto-generation of IPv6 addresses is active or inactive.

Stateless Address 1 to Stateless Address 3

Displays auto-generated IPv6 addresses.

Stateful Address

Displays the stateful address obtained from the DHCPv6 server.

Manual Configuration Address

In the left box, enter the IPv6 address assigned for the network interface board.
In the right box, enter the prefix length of the IPv6 address, using a value between 1 and 128. The default is 64.

Default Gateway Address*

Enter the default gateway address.
The default gateway address is the IPv6 address of the host or router used as the gateway when communicating (printing or exchanging information) with a computer on another network.
If Stateless Address Autoconfiguration is set to Active, the link-local address of the router is set as the default gateway address. If you specify a default gateway address here, that address is used.

Note

DNS Server 1*

Enter the DNS server IP address on the network.
When using DHCP, the primary DNS server IP address obtained from the DHCP server appears.

DNS Server 2*

Enter the DNS server IP address on the network.
When using DHCP, the secondary DNS server IP address obtained from the DHCP server appears.

DNS Protocol Priority

Select a priority protocol for DNS name resolution.

LPR, DIPRINT

Specify whether each protocol is active or inactive.
