Configure settings for device name, output tray, and priority tray.

Note

  • Settings on this page can be changed by the following administrators and users:
    • Network Administrator (Device Name, Comment, and Location)
    • Machine Administrator (Items other than Device Name, Comment, and Location)
    • Login users (all items except Protect Printer Display Panel), if:
      User authentication is enabled on the device and users are permitted to make changes to administrator's setting items.
  • Some items may not appear depending on machine type or configuration.

General Settings

Device Name

Enter the device name, using up to 31 characters.

Note

Comment

Enter a note about the machine, using up to 31 characters.

Location

Enter the device location, using up to 32 characters.

Spool Printing

Specify whether Spool Printing is active or inactive.
This appears only when Spool Printing is supported by the machine.

Note

Protect Printer Display Panel

Specify whether to restrict access from the printer control panel, and if yes, select a protection level.
If protection is enabled, changing control panel items is not possible.
This appears only when printer function is supported by the machine.

Note

Energy Saver Key to Change Mode

Select a machine mode when you press the "Energy Saver" key on the machine's control panel.

Low Power Mode

In this mode, the machine will return to the normal mode quicker than Sleep Mode, but the power consumption will be increased.

Sleep Mode

In this mode, the machine will return to the normal mode slower than Low Power Mode, but the power consumption will be reduced.

Display IP Address on Device Display Panel

Specify whether to display the device IP address on its control panel.

Media Slot Use

Specify whether or not to allow users to use the machine's media slot.

Note

Print from Memory Storage Device

Specify whether or not to allow users to print the data from a USB flash memory device or an SD card using the media slot.

Compatible ID

You can enable or disable the Compatible ID setting.

Remote Power On

Specify whether or not to enable the Remote Power On function.
This function allows you to turn on the main power of the machine remotely by sending the Wake-on-LAN (WOL) packet.

Prohibit printing stored files from Web Image Monitor

Specify whether or not to allow users to print stored files from Web Image Monitor.

Note

Energy Saving Recovery for Business Application

If only applications which run without the machine (printer function) are used, selecting On (Energy Saving) will reduce power consumption. In this mode, it will take time for the machine to return to the normal mode.

Ready State After Printing

You can specify the state of the printer when printing documents during Sleep Mode.
Selecting Control Panel On changes the printer mode to standby after printing.
Selecting Cntrl Panel Off (EnSvg) returns the printer to Sleep Mode after printing.

Output Tray

Select the output tray for each function.

Note

Printer

Select the output tray you want to use for the printer function.

DFE

From the drop-down menu, select the output tray you want to use for the DFE (Digital Front End).

Paper Tray Priority

To Top of the Page

Select the priority tray for each function.
Paper Tray Priority is the tray selected immediately after the printer is turned on, and when Auto Select is chosen as the paper source in a job.

Select the priority tray you want to use for the printer function.

DFE

From the drop-down menu, select the priority tray you want to use for the DFE (Digital Front End).
