Administrator Authentication Management
Device Management > Configuration > Device Settings > Administrator Authentication Management

You can specify whether administrator authentication is performed on the device control panel. You can also select the administration level ("High" or "Low") for administrator's setting items. Items of "High" administration level must be managed by administrators who have the write privilege. Some items of "Low" administration level can be handled by authenticated (logged-on) Users.

Note

• On this page, settings can be configured to items relevant to the current administrator only.
• Settings configured on this page are applied where administrator configures settings on the device control panel. Administrator is always authenticated before making settings on the Web browser pages.

User Administrator Authentication

Specify whether User Administrator is authenticated when making User settings (e.g. editing the Address Book) on the control panel.

Note

• To enable user authentication, make sure "On" is selected.

Machine Administrator Authentication

Specify whether Machine Administrator is authenticated for making device settings (e.g. system defaults) on the control panel.

Network Administrator Authentication

Specify whether Network Administrator is authenticated when making network configuration settings on the control panel.

File Administrator Authentication

Specify whether File Administrator is authenticated when managing files stored on the machine on the control panel.

Click to update the currently displayed information.

Note

• Before making the settings, click Refresh to obtain the machine's current status.

Click to apply the settings.

Cancel

Click to cancel the settings.
