Use this page to register this machine as a managed client on the management server.
Note
- To register the managed client, you need to first configure the settings for the management server.
- The following conditions are required to register the managed client:
- The machine set for the management server is equipped with all functions supported by this machine.
- The following specifications and settings are consistent with Management Server and Managed Client:
The maximum number of Address Books that can be registered
Authentication methods
Enabling or disabling administrator authentication
- When your machine is registered as a managed client, the Address Book and Counter per User is restored to the default settings. If this is the case, you cannot edit the Address Book.
Device Setting
Displays Managed Client.
Selecting Do not Manage Centrally disables the Central Management function.
Synchronize with Server
Click to synchronize with the Address Book of the management server.
Note
- This item does not appear in the first setting.
Managed Client Settings
Machine Name
Displays the name of the machine.
This is the name specified in Device Name on the Configuration - Device Settings - System page.
Location
Displays the machine's location.
This is the location name specified in Location on the Configuration - Device Settings - System page.
Server IP Address / Host Name
Specify the IP address or host name of the connected management server.
Note
- You can specify this setting for the first time only. To change the management server, select Do not Manage Centrally in Device Setting to disable the Central Management function.
Central Management Password
Enter the password when connecting to the management server.

- You can specify this password for the first time only. To change the management server, select Do not Manage Centrally in Device Setting to disable the Central Management function.
Connection Test
Click Execute to test the connection with the management server specified in Server IP Address / Host Name.
Settings If Disconnected
Configure the following settings when connection to the management server cannot be established.
Allow Log In If Disconnected
Specify whether or not to allow login to this machine when connection to the management server cannot be established.
If you select Stop Printing, you cannot use this machine when connection to the management server cannot be established.
Note
- This item is unavailable if User Authentication Management is set to Windows Authentication or LDAP Authentication.
Print Volume Use Limitation If Disconnected
Specify whether or not to perform Print Volume Use Limitation when connection to the management server cannot be established.
If you select Off, print jobs will be cancelled when connection to the management server cannot be established.
Apply Central Management
Displays the item to be managed on the central management server.
Address Book
Manages the address books of multiple machines collectively.
Print Volume Use Limitation
The management server limits the total volume (in units) printable by all machines combined.
Configure the unit setting on each machine.

Click to cancel the settings.
