User Administrator

User administrators are administrators who are assigned User Administrator Authentication rights on the Administrator Authentication Management page in Device Management - Configuration - Device Settings. They manage the Address Book. User Administrators can delete or change the password of a user registered to the Address Book even if the password is unknown.

Machine Administrator

Machine administrators are administrators who are assigned Machine Administrator Authentication rights on the Administrator Authentication Management page in Device Management - Configuration - Device Settings. They manage device settings. Machine Administrators can configure settings on the pages displayed by selecting Device Management - Configuration - Device Settings, and set up printer, fax, and scanner functions.

Network Administrator

Network administrators are administrators who are assigned Network Administrator Authentication rights on the Administrator Authentication Management page in Device Management - Configuration - Device Settings. They set up the device's network configuration. Network Administrators mainly configure settings on the pages displayed by selecting Device Management - Configuration - Network, and set up fax and scanner functions.

File Administrator

File administrators are administrators who are assigned File Administrator Authentication rights on the Administrator Authentication Management page in Device Management - Configuration - Device Settings. They configure settings for files stored on the device. If the Print Jobs function is enabled, File Administrators can also delete jobs displayed in the list of locked print documents stored on the device.

Supervisor

Supervisors are special administrators who can change administrator passwords, as well as Supervisor user names and passwords.

User Authentication

The process through which the user logs in to the device and is given access rights according to his/her user name and password.
