SNMPv3 Trap Communication

Specify whether to send SNMPv3 trap.

Context Name

Displays the context name of the device.
The context name is fixed to "GWNCS".

Authentication Algorithm

Select an authentication algorithm for SNMPv3.

Encryption Algorithm

Select an encryption algorithm for SNMPv3.

Permit SNMPv3 Communication

Select an encryption mode for SNMPv3 communications.

Note

Encryption Only

Permits encrypted communications only.
If encryption is unavailable, prohibits SNMPv3 communication.

Encryption/Cleartext

Encrypts and transmits data when encryption is available.
If encryption is unavailable, permits transmission of unencrypted data.

SNMPv3 Trap Communication Setting

Specify the IP address of the destination host to which SNMPv3 trap is sent, and specify the account of the sender. Up to five addresses can be set.

Account

Enter the user name of administrator or user account to use as the sender, using up to 32 characters.

IPv4

Specify whether IPv4 is active or inactive.

IPv6

Specify whether IPv6 is active or inactive.

IPX

Specify whether IPX is active or inactive.

Manager Address

Enter the host computer's address according to the protocol used.

When using IPv4

Enter the IPv4 address of the destination host.

When using IPv6

Enter the IPv6 address of the destination host.

When using IPX

Enter the IPX address of the destination host. The IPX address consists of the network number and the physical address. Enter the network number to which the host is connected and the MAC address of the network interface board that is attached to the host, separated by a colon ":".

Account (User)

Configure a User account for accessing the device via SNMPv3:

Account Name (User)

Enter a user name for the User account, using up to 32 alphanumeric characters. The default User account name is "initial".

Authentication Password (User)

Enter a password for the User account, using up to 32 alphanumeric characters. The password is case sensitive. Minimum character limits vary depending on the machine's password policy settings.

Encryption Password (User)

Enter a password for encrypting the User account password, using up to 32 alphanumeric characters. The encryption password is case sensitive.

Note

Access Type (User)

In the list, select an access type for the User account to access the device.

Not Accessible

No access permitted.

read-only

You can read the information, but not edit it.

Account (Network Administrator)

In the list, select an access type for the Network Administrator account to access the device.
