PDF Group Password
Device Management > Configuration > Printer > PDF Group Password

The PDF printing password can be sent to the device in a secure manner, using an additional password to encrypt it. On this page, enter the password used to encrypt the PDF printing password.

Note

• The PDF Group Password can be set by the following administrators and users:
  • Machine Administrator
  • Login users
    User authentication is enabled on the device and users are permitted to make changes to administrator's setting items.

Current PDF Group Password

Enter the current PDF Group Password using alphanumeric characters.

Note

• Users have to enter the current PDF Group Password.
  When you are logged in as Machine Administrator, the Current PDF Group Password box does not appear.

New PDF Group Password

Enter the password used to encrypt the PDF printing password, using up to 32 characters.

Confirm PDF Group Password

Enter the new password again to confirm it.
The password entered here must be the same as the one entered earlier in the New PDF Group Password box, otherwise it cannot be set.
