When Custom Size is selected, also select an appropriate option in the Custom Paper Size box.
Note
- Available values depend on machine type and paper tray.
Custom Paper Size
Enter the custom paper size when Custom Size is selected.
Enter the length of the paper's short and long edges, in the Horizontal and Vertical boxes respectively, in the units set on the machine (inch or mm).
Note
- Available paper sizes vary depending on the paper tray. For details about setting the paper size, see the operating instructions provided with the machine.
- This appears only for trays on which Custom Size can be set as the paper size.
Paper Type
Select the paper type in the box.
Note
- Available options vary depending on machine and paper tray.
- This item appears only for paper trays where users can select paper type.
Paper Thickness
Select the paper thickness from the drop down menu.
Note
- Available values depend on machine type and paper tray.
- This item appears only for paper trays where users can select paper type and thickness.
- If you select a paper type other than Plain Paper in the Paper Type list, the paper type - not the paper thickness - will be displayed for Input tray on the Status page.
For example, if you select Plain Paper in the Paper Type list and Thick Paper 1 in the Paper Thickness list, Thick Paper 1 will be displayed. However, if you select Recycled Paper in the Paper Type list and Thick Paper 1 in the Paper Thickness list, Recycled Paper will be displayed.
Apply Auto Paper Select
Select to use the tray when Auto Select is chosen as the paper source.
When On is selected, the tray is automatically selected according to the job settings.
When Off is selected, the tray is not used even if the size and type of paper loaded in the tray matches the job settings.
This option can be used to prevent paper loaded in the tray, such as high quality paper and special paper, automatically feeding.
Note
- This item may not appear depending on machine configuration.
Apply Duplex
Specify whether to use the tray for duplex printing.
Even if On is selected, the tray may not be suitable for duplex printing, depending on the type and thickness of the paper that is loaded in it.
