Use this page to perform the Central Address Book Management.

Note

• The following conditions are required to specify your machine as Management Server:
  • The machine set for the management server is equipped with all functions supported by the client machine.
  • The following specifications and settings are consistent with Management Server and Managed Client:
    The maximum number of Address Books that can be registered
    Authentication methods
    Enabling or disabling administrator authentication

Device Setting

Displays Management Server.

Selecting Do not Manage Centrally disables the Central Address Book Management function.

Management Server Settings

Machine Name

Displays the name of the machine.
This is the name specified in Device Name on the Configuration - Device Settings - System page.

Location

Displays the machine's location.
This is the location name specified in Location on the Configuration - Device Settings - System page.

Central Management Password

Specify a password for connecting to the management server when you configure the machine as a Managed Client. You can specify the password using 4 to 16 alphanumeric characters and symbols.

Note

• You can specify this password for the first time only. To change the password, select Do not Manage Centrally in Device Setting to disable the Central Address Book Management function.

Managed Client List

The Managed Client list for this machine is displayed.

Note

• If Managed Client is not registered, the following items do not appear:

Bulk Synchronization

Click to synchronize the clients' Address Books with the Address Book of the management server.

Note

• The following data is not synchronized:
  • Counter per User
  • Information for Home Screen per User
  • Information for Web browser application (initial settings for favorites, proxy, and history, etc.)

Cancel

Click to cancel a managed client that is selected in the list.

List of display items

Select the check box to the left of the registered information to cancel the client registration.
Items displayed in the list are as follows:
