Register and update LDAP servers.
Enter the LDAP server's name using up to 20 characters.
Enter the LDAP server's host name or IP address using up to 128 characters.
Enter the position within the LDAP directory's structure from which to start user searches.
Use up to 128 alphanumeric characters.
Example: dc=my-domain.com
Enter the port number used to connect to the LDAP server. Use a number from 1 to 65535. The default is 389.
Select whether or not to use SSL to communicate with the LDAP server. If you select On, communication between machine and LDAP server is SSL encrypted. If you select Off, communication is not encrypted.

Select to perform authentication when the machine connects to the LDAP server.

Click Start to see whether or not connection to the LDAP server is possible using the settings configured.
Specify which items of user information to search for via LDAP search.
Enter an attribute type by which the user name can be distinguished.
Use up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
Default: "cn".
Enter an attribute type by which the user email address can be distinguished.
Use up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
Default: "mail".
Enter an attribute type by which the user fax number can be distinguished.
Use up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
Default: "facsimileTelephoneNumber".
Enter an attribute type by which the user's company (or organization) name can be distinguished.
Use up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
Default: "o".
Enter an attribute type by which the user's department name can be distinguished.
Use up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
Default: "ou".
Specify other condition for LDAP search, if required. For example, to search for information based on user's employee number, enter "employeeNo" in the Attribute box, and then enter "Employee No." in the Key Display box.
Enter an attribute type by which the user can be distinguished. Use up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
Enter the name shown on the machine's control panel, which is used for LDAP search to search a user based on the attribute type specified in the Attribute box. Use up to 20 alphanumeric characters.
Click to apply the settings.
Click to cancel the settings and return to the LDAP Server page.
