Initial Settings
Device Management > Configuration > Scanner > Initial Settings

Specify the initial settings that you want displayed when the scanner is first turned on.

Note

• Settings on this page can be changed by the following administrator:
  • Machine Administrator

Menu Protect

Select whether or not to restrict access from the scanner's control panel, and specify a protection level for restricted access.
If protection is enabled, users cannot change control panel items.

Note

• If you select Level 1 or Level 2, the protection level that is applied is the same as that specified for Level 1 or Level 2 of the Menu Protect setting in the scanner's initial settings, which are configured using the machine control panel.
• For details about setting Menu Protect, see the operating instructions provided with the machine.

Use WSD or DSM

Specify whether or not to use the WSD (Web Services on Devices)/DSM (Distributed Scan Management) function.

Display WSD Destination List

Specify whether or not to display the WSD destination list.

Prohibit WSD Scan Command

Specify whether or not to prohibit WSD scanner from scanning.

Use a Destination List that is not DSM

If you select DSM for Use WSD or DSM, specify whether or not to use other delivery methods (email/folder delivery/delivery server).

Refresh

Click to update the currently displayed information.

Note

• Before making the settings, click Refresh to obtain the machine's current status.

OK

Click to apply the settings.

Cancel

Click to cancel the settings.
