IPv6
Use this page to configure settings for printing using IPv6.
Note
- Settings configured here relate to the following interfaces:
Ethernet and wireless LAN. - Settings on this page can be changed by the following administrators and users:
- Network Administrator
- Users logged on
User authentication is enabled on the device and users are permitted to make changes to administrator's setting items.
IPv6
Select whether IPv6 is active or inactive.
Note
- If IPv6 is already in use, the setting cannot be changed from Active to Inactive. For example, if your browser uses IPv6 to connect to the device, Inactive cannot be selected.
Ethernet/Wireless LAN/Ethernet + Wireless LAN
Ethernet, Wireless LAN, or Ethernet + Wireless LAN appears depending on the interface board installed.
Host Name
Enter the host name you want to set for the network interface board or wireless LAN interface unit, using up to 63 characters. The default is RNP, followed by the MAC address of the active interface board. If you change the name to other than the default, the new name cannot begin with "RNP" or "rnp".
Note
- A hyphen can be used as part of the host name. However, hyphens cannot be used at the start or end of a host name or entered consecutively ("--", etc.).
Domain Name
Enter the name of the domain to which the device belongs, using up to 63 alphanumeric characters. Spaces cannot be used.
Link-local Address
Displays the link-local address of the network interface board or wireless LAN board.
The link-local address applies only within the local network (local segment) and begins with "fe80::", followed by an identifier generated from the MAC address of the active interface board.
Stateless Address
Specify the stateless address of the network interface board or wireless LAN board.
Stateless Address Autoconfiguration
Select whether auto-generation of IPv6 addresses is active or inactive.
Stateless Address 1 to Stateless Address 5
Displays auto-generated IPv6 addresses.
Manual Configuration Address
In the left box, enter the IPv6 address assigned for the network interface board or wireless LAN board.
In the right box, enter the prefix length of the IPv6 address, using a value between 1 and 128.
The default is 64.
Note
- The following addresses cannot be set:
Link-local addresses, multicast addresses, loopback addresses, IPv4-compatible addresses, and IPv4-mapped addresses
DHCPv6
Select Active to use the DHCPv6 server to automatically configure the network settings. Select Inactive to manually configure the network settings.
DHCPv6 Address
Displays the address obtained from the DHCPv 6 server.
DDNS
Select whether DDNS (Dynamic DNS) name resolution for the network interface board or wireless LAN board is active or inactive.
When active, the DNS database is immediately updated.
LLMNR
Select whether or not to respond to the name resolution order from the LLMNR (Link-Local Multicast Name Resolution) protocol.
Details
Default Gateway Address
Enter the default gateway address.
The default gateway address is the IPv6 address of the host or router used as the gateway when communicating (printing or exchanging information) with a computer on another network.
If Stateless Address Autoconfiguration is set to Active, the link-local address of the router is set as the default gateway address.
If you specify a default gateway address here, that address is used.
The value currently in use appears in parentheses.
Note
- The following addresses cannot be set:
Site-local addresses, multicast addresses, loopback addresses, IPv4-compatible addresses, IPv4-mapped addresses, and global addresses
DNS Server
Select whether to use the DNS server obtained from the DHCP server, or the DNS server set for the device.
"Auto-Obtain (DHCP)" selected
"DNS Server1(DHCP)", "DNS Server2(DHCP)", and "DNS Server3"(Auto-Obtain (DHCP)) are accessed in this order, and the DNS server that responds first is used.
"DNS Server1", "DNS Server2", and "DNS Server3"(Specify) are not used.
Even if Auto-Obtain (DHCP) is selected when DHCP is not used, the operation is the same as when Specify is selected.

"DNS Server1", "DNS Server2", and "DNS Server3" are accessed in this order, and the DNS server that responds first is used.
DNS Server1(DHCP)
The primary DNS server IPv6 address obtained from the DHCP server appears.
DNS Server2(DHCP)
The secondary DNS server IPv6 address obtained from the DHCP server appears.
DNS Server3
Enter the DNS server IPv6 address you want to set for the machine.
Note
- The entered value takes effect only when Auto-Obtain (DHCP) is selected for DNS Server.
DNS Server 1 to 3
Enter the DNS server IPv6 address you want to set for the machine.
Note
- The following addresses cannot be set:
Multicast addresses, loopback addresses, IPv4-compatible addresses, and IPv4-mapped addresses
DHCPv6 Mode
Select an operation mode for DHCPv6.
Router
Operates in DHCPv6 or DHCPv6-lite mode according to the prefix value of the router advertisement.
DHCPv6
Operates in DHCPv6 mode.
Obtains the IPv6 address and other parameters.
DHCPv6-lite
Operates in DHCPv6-lite mode.
Obtains parameters except the IPv6 address.
DUID
Displays the DUID (DHCP Unique Identifier) of the device.
LPR, RSH/RCP, DIPRINT, FTP, sftp, WSD (Device), WSD (Printer), WSD (Scanner), IPP
Select whether each protocol is active or inactive.
WSD (Encrypted Communication of Device)
Specify whether to encrypt the communication using the WSD (Web Services on Devices) protocol.
WSD (Printer)/IPP Timeout
When printing using WSD (Web Services on Devices) or IPP, specify the time the machine waits for job data before canceling the job.
You can specify a timeout period of 30 to 65535 seconds.
The default timeout period is 900 seconds.
RHPP
Select whether or not to enable printing using RHPP (Ricoh Host Print Protocol).
Buttons
Refresh
Click to update the currently displayed information.
Note
- Before making the settings, click Refresh to obtain the machine's current status.
OK
Click to apply the settings.
Cancel
Click to cancel the settings.
