Device Setting Information: Import Setting (Server)
Device Management > Configuration > Device Settings > Device Setting Information: Import Setting (Server)

Use this page to obtain the setting information automatically from the server on the network and apply the settings to the machine at a specified timing.
Settings for the multiple machines can be managed together.

Note

• Settings on this page can be changed by an administrator with all four of the following privileges:
  • User Administrator privilege
  • Machine Administrator privilege
  • Network Administrator privilege
  • File Administrator privilege

Server Settings

Specify a server from which you can obtain the setting information.

Import File From

Specify a type of the server where you can obtain the information.

Scheduled Import at Specified Time

Specify a time to import the information.
If you need to import the information twice a day, select At Specified Time 1 and 2 to specify both times.

Comparing New File to Last Import File

If the file is the same as the last file, specify whether to import the setting file.

E-mail Failure Notification

If importing the file fails, select whether to send e-mail notification of the import results.

Number of Retries

If importing the file fails, specify how many times the machine retries to import the file.
You can enter up to 30 times.

Retry Interval

If importing the file fails, specify the retry interval.
You can enter between 5 to 300 seconds.

Encryption Key

Configure the encryption key to decode the obtained setting information.
Click the Change button to open the Change Encryption Key for Import page, and then specify the key.

Click to update the currently displayed information.

OK

Click to apply the settings.

Cancel

Click to cancel the settings.
