You can check the current device settings and device status by e-mail. Create an e-mail message in the defined format and send it to the device, and then you will receive a return e-mail showing device settings and other relevant information.
Note
Enter a text string to be added to the subject line of return e-mails.
A return e-mail subject begins with the text entered in Notification Subject, followed by the subject of the e-mail sent from a user.
Up to 32 characters can be entered.
Enter a text message to be included in return e-mails. Up to 256 alphanumeric characters can be entered.
You can enter any message according to your needs, for example, the machine's location or service representative contact information.
Note
Select whether to restrict accesses to the device status information.
If Active is selected, return e-mails are not given to the sender requesting the information.
If Inactive is selected, return e-mails are given in response to requests for the information.
Enter an e-mail address or domain name to use for requesting information by e-mail and to receive its return e-mail.
Up to 10 addresses/domains can be registered, using up to 128 alphanumeric characters each.
If an e-mail address is registered, an e-mail is returned in response to a request sent from the address.
If a domain name is registered, an e-mail is returned in response to requests sent from addresses belonging to the domain.
Example:
If the originator's e-mail address and the specified e-mail address match (for example: "abc@xyz.com"), the device sends a return e-mail.
If they are different, the device does not send a return e-mail.
If the originator's e-mail domain name and the specified domain name match (for example: "aaa@xyz.com", "123@xyz.com", or "zzz@xyz.com"), the device sends a return e-mail.
If they are different, the device does not send a return e-mail.
