User Paper Type
Configuration > Device Settings > User Paper Type

Use this page to select paper types for different print jobs, allowing a paper type to be automatically selected based on the print job.

Note

• For example, if you set [Paper Name] to "Order Form" and [Paper Type] to [Recycled Paper], you can simply select [+Order Form] in the [Paper Type] list on the printer driver screen to print your order form document on recycled paper. This way, you do not have to select the paper type each time you want to print a particular document.

User Paper Type 1 to 8

Paper Name

Enter a name that indicates the usage of the paper type. You can enter up to 15 characters. Double quotation marks (") cannot be used.

Note

• The name you enter appears in the [Paper Type] list preceded by a plus sign (+), which helps you identify it as a user paper type.

Paper Type

Select the paper type you want to associate with the user paper type.

Note

• Available paper types depend on your machine model and its paper trays.
• This item appears only for paper trays where users can select the paper type.

[Restore Defaults]

Click to restore the default settings.

Buttons

[Refresh]

Click to update the currently displayed information.

Note

• Before making the settings, click [Refresh] to obtain the machine's current status.

[OK]

Click to apply the settings.

[Cancel]

Click to cancel the settings.
