Program/Change Administrator
Configuration > Device Settings > Program/Change Administrator

Use this page to make settings for user accounts of the four Administrators (User Administrator, Machine Administrator, Network Administrator, and File Administrator) and the Supervisor.

Note

• On this page, settings can be made to items relevant to the current Administrator only.
  When logged on as a Supervisor, you can change or delete an Administrator or Supervisor password.
• You must be logged on to the machine to make settings on this page. Confirm your login user name and password with the administrator.

User Administrator, Machine Administrator, Network Administrator, File Administrator

Select the desired user account from [Administrator 1] to [Administrator 4].
When you select the user account, items for setting the user name and password appear.

• The currently logged-on Administrator only is displayed on the page.

Administrator 1 to Administrator 4

Login User Name

Enter a user name to use for logging on as Administrator, using up to 32 alphanumeric characters. Double quotes ("), colons (:), and spaces are prohibited. User names can consist of single letters and letter/number combinations of up to 32 characters, but number-only user names must contain a minimum of nine digits.

Login Password

To change the Administrator password, click [Change]. When the [Change Password] page appears, enter the password you want to use.

Encryption Password

To change the password for encrypting the Administrator password, click [Change]. When the [Change Encryption Password] page appears, enter the password you want to use.

Lockout

Select "Inactive" to disable the administrator's lockout.
Only supervisors can disable lockout for Administrators 1 to 4, but supervisors cannot lock out an administrator.

Supervisor

Login User Name

Enter a user name to use for logging on as Supervisor, using up to 32 alphanumeric characters. Double quotes ("), colons (:), and spaces are prohibited. User name can consist of single letters and letter/number combinations of up to 32 characters, but number-only user name must contain a minimum of nine digits.

Login Password

To change the password for logging on as Supervisor, click [Change]. When the [Change Password] page appears, enter the password you want to use.

Lockout

Select "Inactive" to disable the supervisor's lockout.
Only machine administrators can disable supervisor lockout, but machine administrators cannot lock out a supervisor.

Buttons

[Refresh]

Click to update the currently displayed information.

• Before making the settings, click [Refresh] to obtain the machine's current status.

[OK]

Click to apply the settings.

[Cancel]

Click to cancel the settings.
