LDAP Server (Setup)
Configuration > Device Settings > LDAP Server > LDAP Server (Setup)

Register and update LDAP servers.

Note

Identification Name

Enter the LDAP server's name using up to 20 characters.

Server Name

Enter the LDAP server's host name or IP address using up to 128 characters.

Search Base

Enter the position within the LDAP directory's structure from which to start user searches. Use up to 128 alphanumeric characters.
Example: dc=my-domain.com

Port Number

Enter the port number used to connect to the LDAP server. Use a number from 1 to 65535. The default is 389.

SSL

Select whether or not to use SSL to communicate with the LDAP server. If you select "On", communication between machine and LDAP server is SSL encrypted. If you select "Off", communication is not encrypted.

Note

Authentication

Select to perform authentication when the machine connects to the LDAP server.

Off

No authentication.

Cleartext Authentication

User name and password authentication.

Digest Authentication

User name, password, and device certification authentication.

Kerberos Authentication

User name, password, and device certification authentication.

Realm Name

If you selected "Kerberos Authentication" for [Authentication], you must specify the Kerberos realm for user authentication.

Connection Test

Click [Start] to see whether or not connection to the LDAP server is possible using the settings made.

Search Conditions

Specify which items of user information to search for via LDAP search.

Identification Name

Enter an attribute type by which the user name can be distinguished. Use up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
Default: "cn".

Buttons

[OK]

Saves settings and returns the [LDAP Server] page. In the [LDAP Server] page, click [Apply] to apply the settings to the machine.

[Cancel]

Click to cancel the settings and return to the [LDAP Server] page.
